Last week I released my very first Newsletter. If you want to be on the Newsletter list, just look to your right on my blog and scroll to the spot on the page where it says “Get The Newsletter” and do so! I email them out just four times a year. This time, those folks got the first opportunity to enter a new contest–one that might land their idea in a novel. Don’t worry, you’ve got a chance, too!
In my next novel, my main character, Amber, loses her sight to a disease. Before she does, she creates a sort of bucket list–I’m calling it her MUST-SEE list. I’ve got a list of things she wants to see for the last time–but I’d love to use your ideas, too! SO: If you were going to lose your sight, what’s one thing you’d want to see before time ran out?
Post your MUST-SEE place or thing below in the comments and I might use your idea in my novel. Everyone who posts an idea will be mentioned in the back of my novel (along with a complied MUST-SEE list) and I’ll also enter your name in a contest for a $20.00 Amazon gift card! You can send multiple ideas (please!), but there is only one entry for the gift card per person. DEADLINE is December 31st, 2015. Enter NOW!

Hope you can use it in your story! By the way, I love this premise.
Thanks, Johnie!
Sunsets and the ocean always help me to feel closer to my Father. I have seen many and I can always hear and smell the ocean and feel the sand between my toes. But the only sense I can use for a sunset, is my eyes. They are God’s exquisite canvases and they’re never quite the same. I always feel they are a gift to me!
I have been a beach-girl from birth so number one would be watching a sunset from the beach on Maui slipping gently into the ocean between Kauai and Molokai. Actually, any sunset would be my first choice.
I love tyre ocean!! That’s my place
the faces of the ones I love – my kids and grandkids, [other] family – I’d love to see Ireland, walk in the woods, visit the ocean – paint and draw as many pieces as I could.
The ocean is very important to me, as well. Amber’s an artist…she’s painting her heart out as we speak!
What a difficult question. I suppose I’d want to see the farm where my dad worked during my growing up years. And I’d want my kids and grandkids there, too, so they could see it with me.
So visiting places important to your history. That’s a good one! Hmmm…
Of course I would want to see my family, including my dogs, and friends. But they would always be etched in my mind, so I’d like to see something I’ve never seen before. Perhaps Italy, specifically Sicily, because that’s where my heritage is. Maybe even have the privilege to meet relatives as well. I would like that experience to be etched in my mind forever.
Sicily! I have in my own mind the Fjords in Norway, Jac. That’s where my heritage begins. 🙂
There are so many things I would want to see. The Northern Lights would be a sight to behold. Also, I would want to see all the New England states and view their historical sites. And maybe go to England and visit a castle or two (where I would also be invited to have High tea – – okay, I’m being a bit over the top here, but we can all dream, can’t we?).
Ooo…High Tea. I’d love that! And the Northern Lights! Madeline chose that one, too!
The smiles of my loved ones. A really cool, memorable lighthouse. Jerusalem and a tour of where Jesus walked. My pets, happy and getting along.
Oh, all wonderful ideas. Thanks, Jeanie!
I’d love to see a quilt barn- in fact I’d love to go on a quilt barn trail and see not one, but several!
I didn’t know such a thing existed! Great idea!
I tried to use the rafflecopter box above but couldn’t figure out how to work it.
No worries, it’s working for many, but not all, so I’m keeping track through comments , too!
Here are some last things I’d want to see. 1. My children’s faces, 2. my husband’s face 3. Book of Romans in the Bible 4.the lovely Alabama forests 5. Glacier National Park
Lovely, June! Glacier IS a sight to behold. I only visited through once (we did a road trip when I was a kid over several days), but it’s forever in my mind!
I’d choose to see someone I haven’t been able to talk with for a long time and miss greatly. What a wellspring your idea is, Amber!
Ohhh, love that, Gail.
My daughter and husbands faces
Wonderful!
Does it have to be a place? I personally would want to spend much time with my husband and kids, watch home videos over and over, and look at all the pictures we’ve taken over the years. By the way, Josiah wrote a song (lyrics and music) about someone who is blind and wishes for one more chance to see. It’s beautiful :)!
Doesn’t have to be a place! I’d love to hear Josiah’s song!
I would like to go back to the street where I grew up. (I tried to enter in the box above but it wouldn’t let me.) Such a good idea for a competition!
Sorry it didn’t work. Hmmm. I’m keeping track of comments, never fear! Great idea for the list!
